As anticipated, the Los Angeles Clippers have officially released forward Patrick Baldwin Jr., according to the NBA’s official transaction records.

This move aligns with a report from earlier in the weekend, which suggested that Baldwin would be waived to make room for Jordan Miller on a two-way contract.

That report, published by Law Murray of The Athletic, also mentioned that the Clippers might look to re-sign Baldwin on an Exhibit 10 deal if he clears waivers.

Baldwin, who was selected with the 28th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, began his professional career with the Golden State Warriors, where he saw limited playing time as a rookie.

During the 2023 offseason, he was included in the trade that sent Jordan Poole to Washington and Chris Paul to Golden State. Baldwin then spent parts of two seasons with the Wizards but had a minimal role on the court.

At the 2025 trade deadline, he was sent to the San Antonio Spurs, who released him shortly thereafter. He wrapped up the 2024–25 season on a two-way contract with the Clippers.

Throughout his 93-game NBA career, Baldwin has posted averages of 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in just under nine minutes per game, with shooting splits of 40.5% from the field, 37.3% from beyond the arc, and 65.8% from the free-throw line.

Standing 6-foot-9, Baldwin has had more prominent opportunities in the G League.

During the 2024–25 campaign, he played 23 games for the Capital City Go-Go and the San Diego Clippers, averaging 17.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

He also contributed across the board with 2.4 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.3 steals, while shooting 48.9% from the field and 36.4% from three-point range.

Despite being waived, Baldwin still retains one year of two-way contract eligibility.

With Baldwin’s release, the Clippers can now proceed with finalizing their two-way contract with Jordan Miller. He will fill the team’s third and final two-way roster slot, joining fellow two-way players Kobe Sanders and Trentyn Flowers.
