Keshad Johnson is set to earn a guaranteed $1.955 million contract for the upcoming NBA season, but he’s determined not to settle for a limited role sitting on the bench.

As he prepares for his second year in the league, Johnson’s primary objective is clear: to break into the Miami Heat’s regular rotation and demonstrate that he deserves significant playing time on the court.

Reflecting on his performances during the recent Summer League, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald noted that Johnson showed flashes of promise, though his play was somewhat uneven at times.

Despite some encouraging moments, Johnson faces stiff competition at the small forward position, where several players currently stand ahead of him in the depth chart.

To earn meaningful minutes, he will likely need to outperform two or three teammates vying for the same spot in the lineup.
