Bradley Beal has officially joined the Los Angeles Clippers on a two-year, $11 million contract, bringing veteran experience and offensive versatility to the roster.

According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, Beal’s new deal includes a 15 percent trade kicker – a clause that entitles him to an additional 15 percent of the remaining value of his contract if he’s traded during the term.

This incentive could either deter teams from moving him or compensate him generously in the event of a deal.

Beal cleared waivers prior to finalizing the agreement, officially signing with the Clippers on Friday.

His arrival adds proven scoring to a team that is retooling around stars like Kawhi Leonard and James Harden, and his ability to contribute both as a starter or off the bench will likely be a valuable asset in managing player workloads over the course of the season.

Beal has played 13 seasons for the Wizards and Suns. He has averaged 21.5 points, 4.3 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 801 regular-season games. He was selected to play in 3 All-Star games.
