Big man Charles Bassey has officially departed from the Boston Celtics’ Summer League squad, according to Souichi Terada of MassLive.com.

Bassey’s agreement with the Celtics was specifically limited to participation in just three games during the Las Vegas Summer League, as he had other commitments scheduled for the offseason.

The former San Antonio Spurs center, who is currently without a contract for the upcoming 2025/26 NBA season, made a strong impression during his brief stint in Vegas.

Over those three games, Bassey delivered solid numbers, averaging a double-double with 15.3 points and 11.0 rebounds per game.

His efficiency on the court was notable as well, with an impressive shooting percentage of 70.4% from the field.
