Ron Holland has been turning heads during Summer League action for the Detroit Pistons, impressing fans and analysts alike with his all-around contributions.

Over the course of three games, Holland has averaged an impressive 21.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.0 steals per outing.

However, it’s his improvement from beyond the arc that has perhaps been the most striking aspect of his performance, as reported by Omari Sankofa II of The Detroit Free Press.

Although the sample size is small, Holland’s shooting has shown remarkable progress. He has made 7 out of 15 attempts from three-point range, a strong 46.7% clip, a significant jump from his rookie season percentage of just 23.8%.

Reflecting on this improvement, Holland credited the extra work he’s put in alongside Pistons assistant coach and shooting specialist Fred Vinson.

“I feel like me and Freddie V have been in the gym, for sure,” Holland said on Sunday. “There’s no secret behind that.”

Shawn Windsor, also from The Detroit Free Press, echoed the positive sentiment surrounding Holland’s Summer League performances.

Windsor noted that the Pistons should be optimistic about the skills Holland has demonstrated, indicating that his progress could be a promising sign for the team’s future.
