Free agent forward Terry Taylor has officially inked a contract with the Ningbo Rockets of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), his agency confirmed via Instagram.

According to the announcement from CSE, Taylor’s agreement is for the 2025–26 season, indicating that he has signed a one-year deal.

Taylor, 25, went undrafted out of Austin Peay in 2021 but found opportunities in the NBA, splitting time between standard and two-way contracts with the Indiana Pacers and Chicago Bulls over his first three professional seasons.

During the 2024–25 campaign, Taylor played primarily in the NBA G League with the Stockton Kings. He also made a brief return to the NBA, appearing in three games for the Sacramento Kings after signing a 10-day contract in March.

He played a key role in leading Stockton to its first-ever G League championship, contributing 22 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists in the deciding game of the Finals.

Over 31 regular season contests with Stockton, he logged heavy minutes (34.8 per game) and put up impressive numbers – averaging 17.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.2 blocks, while shooting 46.2% from the field, 39% from beyond the arc, and 72.7% from the free throw line.

At the NBA level, Taylor has appeared in 98 regular season games throughout his career, averaging 4.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in just 12.0 minutes per game. Having completed four seasons of professional experience, he no longer qualifies for a two-way NBA contract.

The Ningbo Rockets, Taylor’s new team, are looking to rebound after a difficult season in the CBA, where they posted a 10–36 record – ranking among the bottom four teams in the league.
