Although the Bucks utilized their room exception to finalize the signing, guard Kevin Porter Jr. secured a contract that matches the full value of the bi-annual exception, according to Hoops Rumors.

His new deal spans two years, with the first year valued at $5,134,000 and the second year featuring a player option worth $5,390,700.

Following this signing, Milwaukee still retains about $3.65 million remaining on their room exception.

Typically, when a player re-signs with their previous team on either a one-year contract or a two-year deal that includes a second-year player option, they gain the right to block any trade involving them for the remainder of that season.

However, Porter is part of a small group of players, including Lakers big man Jaxson Hayes, who have chosen to waive this no-trade protection as part of their new agreements.

Other notable players who have similarly waived their trade veto rights include Sixers guard Eric Gordon and Raptors wing Garrett Temple, as confirmed by Hoops Rumors.
