Bradley Beal is actively exploring his next move as buyout negotiations with the Phoenix Suns continue, according to NBA insider Marc Stein. Sources told The Stein Line that several playoff contenders are expected to pursue Beal once he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

Gerald Bourguet reported that Beal is likely to forgo $13.9 million of his remaining $110.8 million contract. This would enable the Suns to waive and stretch the remaining $96.9 million over five years, helping the team avoid both tax aprons.

The 31-year-old guard averaged 17.0 points per game on 49.7% shooting last season but struggled to find a consistent role alongside Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. With Phoenix shifting toward a younger core after trading Durant, Beal’s place in the lineup became less certain.

Beal’s full no-trade clause and $57.1 million player option for 2026–27 complicate any direct trade scenarios. League executives project his current market value closer to the mid-level exception, around $14 million per year, making a buyout more realistic.

Miami has surfaced as a potential landing spot, according to Barry Jackson, with Beal reportedly maintaining interest in joining the Heat. However, other contenders are expected to enter the mix once his buyout becomes official.

Beal is said to prioritize stability and a strong environment for his family, which could influence his choice of destination. Teams offering both competitive opportunities and off-court comfort are likely to appeal to him.

The Suns appear intent on clearing cap space to build around Devin Booker and newly acquired Jalen Green. They are also exploring additional moves involving Nick Richards, Grayson Allen, and Royce O’Neale, according to Stein.

Beal arrived in Phoenix in June 2023 after being traded by the Washington Wizards in exchange for Chris Paul and draft capital. Injuries and roster fit issues, however, prevented the Suns from realizing their vision of a dominant scoring trio.
