The Philadelphia 76ers have officially brought back veteran guard Eric Gordon for the 2025-26 season.
The team announced the re-signing on Tuesday, though per policy, contract terms were not disclosed.
Gordon, 36, joined the Sixers last summer and made an impact as a three-point specialist off the bench. In 39 games (13 starts) during the 2024-25 season, he averaged 6.8 points while shooting 40.9 percent from three-point range.
His perimeter efficiency was among the best in his 17-year NBA career. Only three seasons saw him shoot better from deep.
Gordon’s strongest stretch came in January, when he averaged 9.8 points per game while shooting 52.6 percent from behind the arc in 17 games.
That month accounted for 11 of his 14 double-digit scoring outings during the season.
He also logged 12 games with three or more made threes, including a perfect 4-of-4 shooting night against Cleveland on January 24, tying his season-high of 15 points.
Currently ranking 10th among active players with 2,084 career threes, Gordon remains one of the league’s most reliable long-range threats.
He is also one of only seven active players with at least 2,000 made threes while maintaining a career three-point percentage above 37 percent.
Beyond his NBA contributions, Gordon recently represented the Bahamas at the 2024 Olympic Qualifying Tournament. He averaged 14.0 points while shooting 43.5 percent from three in four games.
Originally drafted seventh overall by the LA Clippers in 2008, Gordon has suited up for the Clippers, Pelicans, Rockets, Suns, and Sixers across 925 career games.
He holds career averages of 15.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists while shooting 37.2 percent from deep.
The Sixers finished the 2024-25 campaign at 24-58, placing 13th in the Eastern Conference. With the franchise focusing on development and floor spacing around rookie guard V. J. Edgecombe, Gordon’s return brings needed veteran stability and elite shooting.
