AS Monaco has officially clarified the status of Mike James following recent speculation. The club confirmed that James is fully reinstated to the team roster.

During the EuroLeague Final Four, James suffered a minor forearm injury. Soon after, he was temporarily withdrawn from team activities due to an off-court incident unrelated to his on-court behavior.

The incident required an internal review as it affected his recovery. Monaco stated the situation was handled with care and discretion amid circulating rumors.

After a thorough investigation, the club confirmed James was unintentionally involved while protecting others. The matter is now resolved.

Although James missed the French League playoffs, Monaco emphasized his commitment to the team remains unchanged. He is under contract through 2027.

The club expects James to return to play for the 2025–26 season once medically cleared. Monaco continues to focus on the future with the player fully part of the roster.

James has been a standout player for Monaco and the EuroLeague. He was the 2024 EuroLeague MVP and has earned multiple All-EuroLeague First and Second Team honors.

His career includes achievements such as the Alphonso Ford EuroLeague Top Scorer Trophy in 2019 and two LNB Pro A championships with Monaco in 2023 and 2024.

This season, James averaged 17.4 points and 5.8 assists per game in the EuroLeague. Monaco finished the 2024-25 EuroLeague regular season in fourth place with a 21-13 record, securing a playoff spot and eventually losing to Fenerbahce in the championship game.
