Zalgiris Kaunas has announced the signing of American center Moses Wright on a one-year deal. The 26-year-old, standing 207 cm tall, joins the Lithuanian champions from Olympiacos Piraeus. Wright played a key role in Olympiacos’ recent Greek League title and EuroLeague Final Four appearance.
Last season in the EuroLeague, Wright appeared in 18 games, averaging 5.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 6.3 assists in under 13 minutes per contest. His efficiency and defensive presence made him an asset off the bench for the Greek champions.
Wright expressed enthusiasm about his move to Kaunas. “I have heard great things about the fans, the organization, and the city,” he said. “Zalgiris will be the best place to develop in Europe. I’m looking forward to showing who Moses Wright is on the court.”
Before joining Olympiacos in January 2024, Wright played for Merkezefendi Denizli in Turkey. There, he averaged 26.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game. His performance earned him a mid-season EuroLeague transfer to Olympiacos.
In his EuroLeague stint with Olympiacos during 2023-24, Wright averaged 8.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 0.7 blocks, and 10.2 efficiency points across 14 minutes per game.
Wright’s career includes NBA G League honors, being named to the All-NBA G League First Team in 2022, and collegiate accolades such as ACC Player of the Year and All-Defensive Team in 2021. He also holds titles from the Greek Cup and Super Cup.
Zalgiris finished the 2024-25 EuroLeague season with a 15-19 record, placing 13th in the standings.
