The Minnesota Timberwolves have declined their team options on center Luka Garza and forward Josh Minott for the 2025–26 season, according to a report by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Garza, 26, was set to earn $2.35 million next season. He appeared in 39 games for Minnesota in 2024–25, averaging 3.5 points and 1.4 rebounds in 5.6 minutes per game while shooting 49.5% from the field.
Minott, 22, had a $2.19 million option for 2025–26. The third-year forward played in 46 games this past season, contributing 2.6 points and 1.0 rebound per contest in limited minutes.
Minnesota now opens up two roster spots and additional flexibility heading into free agency. The club finished the 2024–25 regular season with a 49–33 record, securing the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference.
Garza, originally drafted by the Pistons in 2021, spent the past three seasons with the Timberwolves. Across his four-year career, he has averaged 4.9 points and 2.0 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per game while shooting 49.0% from the field and 31.4% from three.
Minott was selected 45th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft by Charlotte and traded to Minnesota on draft night. He has appeared in 93 total regular season games for the Timberwolves, posting career averages of 2.3 points and 1.0 rebound in 5.0 minutes per contest.
