Kevin Durant recently indicated the San Antonio Spurs as a potential landing spot in ongoing trade discussions. The 15-time All-Star shared this insight during a private conversation, according to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports.

Durant is expected to be traded by the Phoenix Suns, who are actively working with the forward and his business manager, Rich Kleiman, to explore suitable destinations before the June 25 NBA Draft. The Suns ended the season with a 36–46 record and are entering a rebuilding phase after coaching changes.

Toronto has emerged as a strong contender in the trade sweepstakes, according to NBA insider Marc Stein. Multiple league sources believe the Raptors could offer a competitive package, especially if Giannis Antetokounmpo is not available this offseason.

Toronto finished 30–52, holding valuable draft picks and young talent like Scottie Barnes and Gradey Dick. This makes them a realistic suitor capable of putting together an attractive offer without dismantling their roster.

The Spurs, with a 34–48 record, finished near the bottom of the Western Conference standings but maintain flexibility and assets that could appeal to Phoenix. Durant’s mention of San Antonio signals his openness to joining a team focused on long-term growth.

Durant averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists during the 2024-25 season. At 36 years old, he remains under contract, and several teams, including Toronto and San Antonio, are expected to present serious offers.
