If Moriah Mills decides to sue Zion Williamson, it won’t be with the help of high-profile attorney Tony Buzbee. TMZ Sports has learned Buzbee declined to take her case after a recent inquiry from Mills.
“A member of our staff spoke to her,” Buzbee said Tuesday. “After review, we declined to take her case.”
He added that while his firm is contacted daily by people with potential claims, they can’t take them all.
“Some are resolved quietly, others go to trial – like the $640 million verdict we recently won. Only a few become public.”
The exact nature of Mills’ intended legal action is unclear.
About two years ago, she posted a series of critical social media messages about Williamson, including a claim that they were intimate shortly before he announced he was expecting a child with another woman.
Mills confirmed Tuesday that Buzbee passed on the case, saying it didn’t fit his usual type of litigation.
Meanwhile, Williamson is facing a separate lawsuit from a Jane Doe who accuses him of rape and long-term abuse beginning when he was a freshman at Duke.
Williamson has strongly denied the allegations, calling them “categorically false and reckless.”
