The NBA has confirmed that the league’s most prestigious individual honor – the Most Valuable Player award for the 2024-25 season – will be unveiled on Wednesday evening, just ahead of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The announcement will be made at 7:00 PM ET on TNT, setting the stage for a highly anticipated matchup between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers.

This scheduling ensures the MVP reveal garners maximum attention from a national audience already tuned in for the postseason.

The three finalists for the award, each of whom delivered dominant performances throughout the regular season, are:

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks – The two-time MVP continued to lead his team with elite two-way play, maintaining his status as one of the league’s most unstoppable forces.
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder – Gilgeous-Alexander, who would be a first-time MVP, dazzled all year, guiding a young Thunder team to a top seed in the Western Conference and earning widespread respect as a clutch scorer and versatile playmaker.
  • Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets – The reigning MVP and three-time winner put up another MVP-caliber campaign, continuing to redefine the center position with his exceptional passing, efficiency, and basketball IQ.
