According to a report from Hoops Wire’s Sam Amico, the Charlotte Hornets are making it clear that Brandon Miller is the only player currently considered untouchable in trade discussions.

“One opposing executive told Hoops Wire that he’s been led to believe Brandon Miller is the lone untouchable on Charlotte’s roster,” the report states, highlighting the franchise’s strong belief in the 2023 No. 2 overall pick as a cornerstone of their long-term rebuild.

Miller had a standout rookie season and is widely viewed as a foundational piece for Charlotte, showing the type of scoring potential and two-way versatility that teams build around.

Interestingly, while LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges are not officially labeled as “untouchable,” the executive noted that it’s unlikely either will be traded shortly. That has more to do with their trade market than Charlotte’s willingness to move them.

“No one would pay what the Hornets are surely seeking for either player,” the executive explained, suggesting that while the team might be open to listening, the asking price for Ball and Bridges is prohibitively high.

This insight adds clarity to Charlotte’s offseason outlook, with the team seemingly prioritizing Miller as the face of the franchise moving forward while keeping their options open for reshaping the rest of the roster should the right offers come along.
