Real Madrid forward Eli Ndiaye has reportedly turned down an invitation to participate in the upcoming NBA G League Elite Camp, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

The annual event, which serves as a showcase for NBA draft hopefuls looking to elevate their stock, will take place this weekend.

While some players who were not originally named on the initial invite list, such as Iowa wing Payton Sandfort and Kentucky guard Lamont Butler, have since received and accepted late invitations, Ndiaye has opted not to attend.

The primary reason for his decision appears to be timing. Real Madrid is still in the midst of its season in Spain’s top professional league (Liga ACB), and the team remains in contention, making it difficult for Ndiaye to step away for a stateside event.

Though passing on the G League Elite Camp could limit some immediate exposure to NBA scouts, Ndiaye’s continued role with one of Europe’s premier basketball clubs suggests he remains firmly on the radar for teams monitoring international prospects.
