Shannon Sharpe is facing renewed scrutiny after a previously unreported 2023 lawsuit surfaced from Michele Bundy Evans, a former girlfriend who accused him of rape, threats, and later defamation.

Evans, who filed for a restraining order in 2010, claims Sharpe assaulted her during their nearly 10-year relationship and threatened to “ruin” her if she spoke out. That restraining order was later dropped, and Sharpe’s team has dismissed her suit as baseless.

This revelation comes days after another woman, identified as Jane Doe, filed a $50 million lawsuit alleging sexual assault and harassment during a two-year relationship with Sharpe. Her legal team released audio allegedly of Sharpe making violent threats.

Sharpe, who denies all allegations, announced a temporary leave from ESPN to address what he calls “false and disruptive” claims. ESPN has supported his decision to step back.
