The Toronto Raptors have struggled with outside shooting this season, ranking near the bottom of the league in both three-pointers made per game (11.5, 29th) and three-point percentage (34.5%, 26th).

To address this weakness, the team is aiming to surround key players like Scottie Barnes and Jakob Poeltl with more capable floor spacers. One of the moves made to improve this situation was signing Cole Swider to a 10-day contract.

Swider, eager for the opportunity, expressed his hope that the 10-day deal could lead to something more long-term.

As relayed by Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca, Swider shared his excitement, saying, “They’ve had a great track record of having two-ways get converted to contracts and guys with contracts getting converted to bigger contracts. So super excited to be here. I think it could be a great opportunity.”

Swider has averaged 3.0 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.3 assists in 4 games this season.
