Former Los Angeles Lakers forward Cole Swider is nearing a deal to join Turkish powerhouse Anadolu Efes, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.

Swider, 26, appears set to make the leap to the EuroLeague after multiple NBA stints over the past three seasons.

After going undrafted in 2022, Swider signed with the Lakers and made brief appearances before spending time with the Heat, Pistons, and Raptors.

His most recent NBA action came with Toronto, where he averaged 7.4 points and 3.1 rebounds across eight games during the 2024–25 season.

Earlier in the year, he delivered strong performances in the G League, including a 36-point game for the South Bay Lakers just one day after being acquired from Motor City Cruise.

Over 31 G League games this past season, Swider averaged 21.0 points while shooting 44.2 percent from three-point range—numbers that drew attention from overseas clubs.

Anadolu Efes, coached by former Phoenix Suns head coach Igor Kokoskov, has emerged as Swider’s likely destination as they reload for another EuroLeague run.

The Turkish club has a strong history of landing former NBA players and is expected to offer Swider a larger role than he’s had in the league.

In total, he has appeared in 35 NBA games, averaging 3.1 points in 8.5 minutes per contest.
