Utah Jazz head coach Will Hardy has given Walker Kessler the freedom to attempt three-pointers, allowing the young center to expand his offensive game.

Kessler expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, telling Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune, “I’m very, very appreciative of him to give me the opportunity to work on it.”

He went on to add, “And I know, and I believe in myself to know that I can do that. I need to get back in the rhythm of how to do it, because it’s been a long time since I’ve really done it in volume.”

Kessler, who will be rested for the Jazz’s game against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday, has recently started testing his range.

Over his last two appearances, he has attempted 11 three-pointers but has only made one of them.

Kessler has played 3 seasons for the Jazz. He has averaged 9.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks in 190 regular-season games.
