Rumors from Utah suggest that Indiana has interest in Walker Kessler, the young Jazz center recognized for his rim protection and potential. Kessler is currently sidelined for the year due to shoulder surgery, but is expected to be fully recovered by next season.
Contract extension talks between him and the Jazz fell short, setting him up to become a restricted free agent this offseason, which could make him more attainable through trade or future negotiations.
This season, the Pacers have relied on Jay Huff, Isaiah Jackson, and Tony Bradley to cover the center position. Although each has contributed in stretches, none is viewed as a sustainable long-term starter.
