Derrick Jones Jr. is reaching new heights with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times.
The forward is posting career-best numbers, including 10.6 points per game and a 35.6% shooting percentage from beyond the arc, helping keep Los Angeles firmly in the playoff race.
In an exclusive interview with Mark Medina of Sportskeeda, Jones opened up about his role with the team, areas for improvement, the coaching staff, and more.
“It’s just me having the same confidence as always,” Jones said of his success with the Clippers. “Whenever my opportunity comes, I go to score, I go to be aggressive or I make a play for somebody else.
“When I’m always on the floor, I’m always being aggressive and not having any second thoughts.”
Jones Jr. has played 9 seasons for 6 teams, including the Bulls and Heat. He has averaged 7.1 points and 3.3 rebounds in 477 regular-season games.
