Isaiah Wong is on the verge of signing with EuroLeague side Zalgiris Kaunas, according to reports. The former NBA player is expected to replace Lonnie Walker IV, who recently left the team to join the Philadelphia 76ers on a buyout.

Donatas Urbonas reported that Wong is nearing an agreement with Zalgiris, as the Lithuanian club looks to strengthen its roster.

The 24-year-old guard has had a rollercoaster journey in the NBA and G League over the past year. Wong was drafted 55th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers. After brief appearances in the Summer League, he signed a two-way contract with the Pacers, spending time with the NBA and G League affiliate, the Indiana Mad Ants.

Wong made his NBA debut during the 2023 NBA In-Season Tournament final, where he played a limited role as the Pacers fell to the Los Angeles Lakers. Afterward, Wong continued his career in the NBA G League, earning another shot in the league. He joined the Utah Jazz in September 2024 but was waived a few weeks later in early October. He then joined the Salt Lake City Stars before signing a two-way deal with the Charlotte Hornets in December 2024.

During his time with the Hornets, Wong averaged 6 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists across 20 appearances. His best game came against the Detroit Pistons, where he set a career-high 17 points.

Wong also spent significant time in the G League this season, excelling with the Greensboro Swarm and Salt Lake City Stars. He posted impressive numbers, averaging 20.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 14 games, including a career-high 41 points for the Stars.

Zalgiris, who recently triumphed in the Lithuanian Cup, is currently navigating a difficult EuroLeague season. After a promising 6-1 start, the team has struggled, posting a 6-13 record over their last 19 games. Zalgiris is currently ranked 13th in the EuroLeague standings with a 12-14 record. Despite their recent challenges, they remain in contention for a play-in spot, just two wins behind the tenth-seeded Olimpia Milano.
