Gintaras KrapikasZalgiris will not be signing a new coach after the decision was made to keep Gintaras Krapikas. 48-year-old Lithuanian and former Zalgiris player signed contract extension for one more season. The squad should be even younger than last season so there are plans to appoint one more assistant coach to work with young players.

Krapikas made a debut as a head coach in Zalgiris last season. He couldn't have asked for a worse situation to start his head coach career as the team was hit by financial troubles and had to let go all foreign players. The ones who left were also having motivation problems when not getting their wages. The team finished the season without any trophies and won only two games in Euroleague.
