The Utah Jazz have officially waived veteran guard Josh Richardson, who was recently acquired as part of their trade deadline activity.
Despite his addition to the roster, Richardson’s impact was limited due to recurring leg and foot injuries that restricted him to only eight appearances this season.
By parting ways with Richardson, the Jazz will absorb a $3.1 million dead money cap hit. Once he clears waivers, the experienced guard will become an unrestricted free agent, eligible to sign with any team.
Known for his two-way abilities and perimeter defense, Richardson could attract interest from playoff contenders seeking depth and veteran leadership in the backcourt.
