Despite trade rumors circulating in recent days, Kevin Durant has been assured by Phoenix Suns owner Matt Ishbia that he will not be moved before the trade deadline.

According to Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, multiple teams, including the Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, and Washington Wizards, inquired about Durant’s availability. The Wizards reportedly offered Kyle Kuzma and draft picks in an attempt to acquire the 15-time All-Star.

The trade speculation gained traction after Marc Stein reported that the Suns were expanding their discussions regarding a potential Durant trade. The team was believed to be considering a deal that could bring Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler to Phoenix.

Despite boasting a star trio of Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, the Suns have struggled to establish themselves as a top contender. Sitting ninth in the Western Conference with a 25-24 record, Phoenix has failed to find the right chemistry to dominate in a competitive conference.

Durant remains one of the league’s most dominant scorers, averaging 26.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game this season. The 35-year-old is in the third year of a four-year, $194 million contract and is set to earn $51 million this season.
