Tyler Herro scored 25 points as the Miami Heat defeated the Brooklyn Nets 106-97 on Saturday night, ending their two-game losing streak. Miami improved to 22-22, while Brooklyn’s record fell to 14-32 after its sixth consecutive loss.

Bam Adebayo contributed 17 points and 16 rebounds. Nikola Jovic added 17 points, six rebounds, and four assists, while Duncan Robinson tallied 15 points and seven rebounds. Miami’s bench also made a significant impact, with Terry Rozier scoring 16 points and Jaime Jaquez Jr. adding nine.

The Heat’s three-point shooting played a crucial role, as they connected on 46.4% of their attempts (13-of-28). Despite committing 22 turnovers, Miami capitalized on its efficient shooting to secure the victory.

Brooklyn was led by D’Angelo Russell and Keon Johnson, who scored 22 points each. Jalen Wilson came close to a triple-double with 12 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. However, the Nets shot just 37.5% from the field, struggling to maintain offensive consistency.

The Nets trailed by four at halftime but tied the game at 61 midway through the third quarter, fueled by back-to-back three-pointers from Russell. Miami quickly responded with a 7-0 run and closed the third quarter with a decisive 21-7 surge, including four three-pointers during the stretch.

Brooklyn’s struggles at home continued, extending its losing streak at Barclays Center to 10 games. The Nets shot 35% from three-point range (14-of-40) and committed 14 turnovers, further compounding their difficulties.

On a night when Brooklyn honored franchise legend Vince Carter by retiring his No. 15 jersey, the team showed flashes of competitiveness but failed to sustain momentum. The loss marked Brooklyn’s 22nd defeat in its last 27 games.

Miami’s defensive efforts also stood out, limiting Brooklyn’s second-chance opportunities by grabbing 51 total rebounds, including 12 on the offensive end.
