Domantas Sabonis delivered a stellar performance with 29 points and 18 rebounds, leading the Sacramento Kings to a commanding 123-100 victory over the Washington Wizards on Sunday night. The Kings, now 22-20, have won nine of their last 10 games.

Sacramento received significant contributions from DeMar DeRozan, who scored 24 points, and Malik Monk, who added 23. Keon Ellis provided a spark off the bench, tallying 18 points on 6-for-8 shooting from beyond the arc. De’Aaron Fox recorded a double-double with 12 points and a season-high 13 assists.

Jonas Valanciunas, Sabonis’ fellow Lithuanian, paced Washington with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Despite his efforts, the Wizards extended their losing streak to 10 games, falling to 6-35 for the season.

After an early six-point deficit, Sacramento took control, building a double-digit lead in the second quarter and extending it to 24 points in the second half. Sabonis was dominant from the start, finishing the first half with 18 points and 11 rebounds. A stretch of eight consecutive points, highlighted by back-to-back three-pointers and a dunk off a steal, helped the Kings establish control after a brief 15-15 tie in the opening period.

The Kings’ defense held the Wizards to 36% shooting from the field and just 24% from three-point range. Sacramento also capitalized on efficient offense, shooting 48.4% overall and registering 28 assists.

Washington struggled offensively, with no player besides Valanciunas scoring more than 14 points. Kyle Kuzma had 13 points on 3-for-15 shooting, while Jordan Poole and Bilal Coulibaly each added 11.

The Kings showcased their depth with multiple players making key contributions. DeRozan, known for his mid-range scoring, led the starters alongside Sabonis, while Ellis’ six triples energized the bench. Monk displayed his scoring versatility, including three three-pointers, and Alex Len chipped in four points and four rebounds in limited minutes.

Despite Kuzma’s consistent free-throw shooting and Valanciunas’ strong interior presence, Washington’s inefficiency from the perimeter and turnovers undermined their efforts.
