The Portland Trail Blazers (14-28) snapped a five-game losing streak, led by Scoot Henderson’s 25-point, 8-assist double-double. The Chicago Bulls (18-25) suffered their fifth consecutive loss despite Zach LaVine’s game-high 27 points.

Henderson’s back-to-back 3-pointers in the second quarter helped Portland erase a 15-point deficit. By halftime, the teams were tied at 53. Portland took control early in the second half, with Deni Avdija’s 3-pointer giving them an eight-point lead, which they held for much of the game. Shaedon Sharpe contributed 23 points off the bench.

Jerami Grant added 18 points for Portland, while Deandre Ayton contributed 15 points and 13 boards. Playing on the second night of a back-to-back, the Blazers out-rebounded Chicago 50-36, including 14 offensive rebounds.

LaVine led the Bulls in scoring, while Patrick Williams and Nikola Vucevic added 15 and 17 points, respectively. Chicago struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 27.6% (8-of-29).

Chicago was without Lonzo Ball (right thigh), Jevon Carter (illness), and Chris Duarte (personal reasons). Portland missed Anfernee Simons (elbow strain) but got strong contributions from Sharpe and Avdija, both overcoming recent injuries to play pivotal roles.
