The Indiana Pacers secured a 111-100 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Thursday night, led by standout performances from Myles Turner and Pascal Siakam. Turner scored 28 points, hitting an impressive 8 of 11 from beyond the arc, while Siakam added 26 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists to lift the Pacers to a 23-19 record.

Turner’s three-point shooting stood out as Indiana’s key weapon, especially since his teammates combined to go 5 for 19 from deep. Tyrese Haliburton chipped in 17 points and eight assists in his return from a groin injury, as the Pacers won their seventh game in their last eight outings.

Detroit’s Tim Hardaway Jr. led the Pistons with 25 points, while Cade Cunningham added 20 points and nine assists. Despite their contributions, the Pistons shot just 39.6% from the field and struggled mightily from beyond the arc, going 2 for 17 on three-pointers in the second half.

The Pacers built a double-digit lead in the second quarter, outscoring Detroit 40-30 behind a balanced offensive attack. Capitalizing on 13 first-half turnovers by the Pistons, Indiana converted them into 13 points, which proved crucial in maintaining control of the game.

Detroit attempted a comeback in the fourth quarter, cutting the deficit to 96-90 with just under six minutes left. However, they went scoreless on six consecutive possessions, allowing Indiana to stretch the lead back to 12 points and secure the win.

Aaron Nesmith returned to the Pacers’ lineup after missing over two months with a left ankle sprain, contributing nine points in just nine minutes of action. His return came as Bennedict Mathurin served a one-game suspension for bumping an official in Indiana’s previous matchup.

For the Pistons, Jalen Duren had a perfect shooting night, scoring 17 points on 8-of-8 shooting while grabbing 17 rebounds, including six on the offensive glass. Ausar Thompson added seven boards but shot just 3 for 9 from the field, and Detroit was outscored by 22 points during his time on the floor.

Detroit’s inefficiency from beyond the arc proved costly, as they finished the game shooting just 25% (9 of 36) from deep. Despite this, the Pistons have been strong in recent weeks, winning 10 of their last 12 games prior to this loss. They now sit at 21-20 on the season.

Indiana’s bench provided solid contributions, led by Jarace Walker’s eight points and five rebounds in 22 minutes. Obi Toppin and T.J. McConnell also helped bolster the team’s depth, combining for nine assists and 10 rebounds off the bench.
