Isaiah Collier delivered a game-winning layup with two seconds remaining in overtime to push the Utah Jazz to a 112-111 victory against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night. The Jazz improved to 10-28, snapping a three-game losing streak, while the Nets dropped their fifth straight to fall to 13-26.

Collier set a career-high with 23 points, adding seven rebounds and seven assists to anchor Utah’s offense. Collin Sexton contributed 21 points, while Brice Sensabaugh and Svi Mykhailiuk scored 16 points each, helping the Jazz secure their third home win of the season.

Brooklyn’s Tosan Evbuomwan, who finished with 22 points, sank two free throws with 6.4 seconds left in overtime to give the Nets a one-point lead. However, Collier’s late heroics sealed the victory for Utah, handing Brooklyn another heartbreaking loss.

The Jazz relied on sharp perimeter shooting, converting 17 of their 44 three-point attempts, a 39% clip.

Ziaire Williams paced the Nets with 19 points, while Nic Claxton posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Ben Simmons contributed 14 points and nine assists, but Brooklyn’s shooting struggles, including a 25% mark from three-point range, proved costly.

Despite trailing throughout the fourth quarter, Brooklyn tied the game at 102 on four consecutive free throws from Williams, forcing overtime.

Missed opportunities plagued the Nets, as Tyrese Martin and Claxton failed to convert potential go-ahead baskets in the final 30 seconds of regulation. Brooklyn also struggled from the free-throw line, hitting just 65.7% of their attempts.

The Jazz capitalized on Brooklyn’s mistakes, maintaining composure in crunch time. Mykhailiuk and Filipowski added critical scoring off the bench, while Utah’s defense limited the Nets to 42.4% shooting from the field.

Both teams were shorthanded, with injuries sidelining key players like Lauri Markkanen, John Collins, and Cam Thomas. Despite this, the Jazz showcased resilience, earning a hard-fought win in front of their home crowd.
