Olympiacos, Knicks discuss possible exhibition

Olympiacos’ EuroLeague title and the New York Knicks’ NBA Finals run have reportedly sparked talks about a potential exhibition game between the two historic clubs.

Greek businessman Nikos Tsakos, whose family sponsors Olympiacos through the Arrena brand, hinted at future collaboration between the teams after Olympiacos captured its first EuroLeague title in 13 years.

“We support the team of our hometown and the city where we grew up. I was born in Piraeus and moved to New York at 17,” Tsakos said, via Sport24.

“We are happy that the two teams are among the most historic in the world. Soon we will be able to do something together.”

His son, Panagiotis Tsakos, revealed that discussions about a possible exhibition matchup are already taking place, potentially either in Greece or at Madison Square Garden.
