Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler is expected to return to action soon, with plans to practice on Tuesday and make his comeback in Wednesday’s matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans, as reported by Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald.

The veteran has been sidelined for the past five games due to a flu-like illness, but his return to the court appears imminent.

In a related update, Miami Heat president Pat Riley addressed trade rumors surrounding Butler last week, emphatically stating that the team has no intentions of moving the star forward.

Butler, who holds a $52.4 million player option for the 2024-2025 season, remains a cornerstone of the Heat’s roster.

This season, the player has continued to put up impressive numbers, averaging 18.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game, proving vital to Miami’s success on both ends of the floor.
