Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon will sit out at least two games with a right calf strain, head coach Michael Malone confirmed.

The injury occurred during Wednesday’s matchup against the Phoenix Suns, and the team is proceeding cautiously to ensure his recovery.

This marks the second time this season that Gordon has dealt with calf problems, having previously missed ten games due to discomfort.

Despite the recurrence, Malone is hopeful for a quick return, saying, “We don’t expect Aaron to miss many games beyond these two, but we’ll continue to monitor his progress.”

Gordon has been a crucial part of the Nuggets’ lineup, averaging 13.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists on 52.3% shooting.

With a 16-11 record, the Nuggets will rely on other players to fill the void as they work to remain competitive in the Western Conference during Gordon’s absence.
