Detroit Pistons head coach JB Bickerstaff had a lot of great things to say about sharpshooter Malik Beasley after Thursday’s 114-113 road win vs. the Sacramento Kings (22 points/2 rebounds/2 assists/zero turnovers/7-16 FG/6-11 3-PT/2-2 FT).

Antonio Ray Harvey: “Malik Beasley, he did his job. He made his money today, could you talk about his heroics in that fourth quarter?”

Bickerstaff: “Yeah, it’s almost like we’ve just gotten used to Beas. There’s been so many games where we’ve either been down or we’ve been up and needed to stop a run or whatever it may have been, and we can just trust Beas to make the shot. He has the ability to get his shot off and create space. He doesn’t need to have his feet set to get his shot off. He can get it off over bigger guys, smaller guys, off the catch. Whatever it may be, he has the ability to create that separation. And again, he’s just been big-time for us. Not only the shot-making, but defensively. So we’ve been very fortunate to have Beas to be able to help us put games away, win games. I talk about Cade [Cunningham]’s spirit, but Beas’ spirit every day never changes. He’s always lifting this group up even in our down moments. So when you have that energy and spirit, the basketball Gods pay off for you.”
