The Los Angeles Lakers are dealing with significant injury concerns as six players, including Anthony Davis and LeBron James, appear on the team’s injury report ahead of their home game against the Detroit Pistons on Monday night.
Both Davis and James are listed as questionable, with Davis nursing a left shoulder contusion and James managing a left foot injury.
Jaxson Hayes, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Christian Wood are all ruled out. Hayes is sidelined with a right ankle sprain, Hood-Schifino continues to recover from a left hamstring strain, Vanderbilt is progressing from right foot surgery, and Wood remains out following left knee surgery.
The Lakers, currently sixth in the Western Conference standings with a 16-12 record, are looking to rebound after splitting their last ten games. Their depth will be tested, particularly if James or Davis is unable to suit up.
The Pistons, meanwhile, enter the game with a 12-17 record and sit tenth in the Eastern Conference. The team has its own injury challenges, with Isaiah Stewart ruled out due to a hyperextended left knee. Additionally, Daniss Jenkins, Bobi Klintman, Cole Swider, and Alondes Williams remain unavailable as they fulfill G League assignments.
Detroit has struggled recently, going 4-6 over its last ten games. The Pistons will rely on their younger core, including Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey, to take advantage of a potentially shorthanded Lakers lineup.
For Los Angeles, a strong performance at Crypto.com Arena could help them build momentum heading into a critical stretch of the season. Detroit, on the other hand, hopes to capitalize on the Lakers’ injury woes to secure a road victory.
The game is set to tip off at 10:30 PM ET, with fans keeping a close eye on the final injury updates for both teams.
