Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis led the Boston Celtics to a 130-120 win over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night. Brown tallied 28 points and nine assists, while Porzingis added 26 points and nine rebounds, securing Boston’s 18th victory of the season.

The Celtics started hot, scoring 12 unanswered points to establish an early 18-4 lead. By the second quarter, they built a 20-point advantage and maintained control for most of the game.

Boston’s bench provided crucial support, with Payton Pritchard contributing 19 points and Sam Hauser delivering a season-high 20 points, including five 3-pointers. Derrick White added a double-double with 14 points and 11 assists.

Detroit staged a late rally in the fourth quarter, fueled by their 3-point shooting. Malik Beasley hit six 3-pointers, while Marcus Sasser and Tobias Harris joined in to cut the deficit to five points in the final minute.

Pritchard’s 3-pointer in the closing moments sealed the game for Boston, which played without Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday due to injuries. Despite the absences, the Celtics’ balanced effort proved too much for Detroit.

Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with 27 points, 14 assists, and nine rebounds. Harris matched his total with 27 points, and Beasley added 23 off the bench in a spirited effort for Detroit.

Detroit made a season-high 20 3-pointers on 51.3% shooting from beyond the arc, but their 18 turnovers allowed Boston to capitalize in key moments.

Boston improved to 18-4 on the season and remains at the top of the Eastern Conference standings. Detroit, now 9-15, will look to bounce back after their fifth loss in six games.
