De’Aaron Fox delivered a stellar performance, scoring 49 points to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 121-117 victory over the Utah Jazz. The win marked a crucial bounce-back for the Kings, improving their record to 8-6.
Fox shot 16-of-30 from the field and added 14 free throws on 19 attempts. He also contributed nine assists and two steals, setting a franchise record with 109 points across two consecutive games. This achievement surpassed DeMarcus Cousins’ previous record.
Kevin Huerter supported the Kings with 18 points, while Trey Lyles added 17, including five 3-pointers. Sacramento overcame the absence of key players DeMar DeRozan, Domantas Sabonis, and Malik Monk, who were sidelined with injuries.
Lauri Markkanen led the Jazz with 25 points, shooting an efficient 6-of-8 from the field. Collin Sexton and Keyonte George added 18 and 19 points, respectively, while Jordan Clarkson contributed 17 off the bench. Despite these efforts, the Jazz fell to 3-9.
Fox set the tone early, scoring 26 points in the first half, including a flawless start where he made his first seven shots. The Kings faced a challenging moment in the third quarter, trailing 89-78, but a strong fourth-quarter surge secured the win.
Sacramento excelled from beyond the arc, shooting 46.3% on 19-of-41 attempts. Their bench also played a critical role, with Alex Len and Jordan McLaughlin combining for key points and defensive contributions.
For the Jazz, five players scored in double figures, showcasing a balanced offensive effort. However, they struggled to contain Fox, who was unstoppable throughout the night.
Sacramento’s victory highlighted their resilience despite missing key players. The Jazz, while competitive, continued their struggles, now losing nine of their first 12 games.
