Giannoulis Larentzakis appears set for a reunion with AEK Athens after his six-year run at Olympiacos Piraeus came to an end.
The 32-year-old guard is expected to continue his career with AEK, where he previously played between 2016 and 2019.
Sport24 reports that the two sides are preparing to finalize a three-year agreement. Before making the move, Larentzakis officially closed a successful chapter with Olympiacos.
Over six seasons, he was part of a team that captured the EuroLeague championship along with three Greek League titles and three Greek Cups.
Although Larentzakis was a regular part of Olympiacos for years, his opportunities became scarce last season.
He featured in only seven EuroLeague contests and averaged approximately three minutes of playing time.
His strongest individual EuroLeague production came several years earlier. During the 2022-23 campaign, the Greek guard posted averages of 6.4 points and 1.8 rebounds.
A return to AEK would bring Larentzakis back to a club where he has already experienced international success.
His first spell included the 2018 Basketball Champions League triumph and the 2019 FIBA Intercontinental Cup title.
