The iconic basketball analysis show Inside the NBA will transition from TNT to ESPN and ABC starting next season, according to report by Joe Flint of Wall Street Journal.

Warner Bros. Discovery has reached a deal with Disney to license the popular program featuring Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson.

This agreement follows Warner Bros. Discovery’s settlement of its breach of contract lawsuit with the NBA. The settlement secures Warner Bros. Discovery’s involvement with the league for at least another decade, including exclusive rights to develop NBA-related content for both U.S. and international audiences.

Inside the NBA, widely praised for its humorous and candid commentary, will air on ESPN and ABC throughout the upcoming season. This move is part of Disney’s broader NBA broadcast expansion after securing an 11-year deal with the league starting in the 2025–26 season.

Warner Bros. Discovery retains some NBA rights, including running the NBA’s digital operations such as NBA TV. Its platforms, Bleacher Report and House of Highlights, will continue providing NBA highlights and content.

Additionally, Warner Bros. Discovery secured live game rights for territories in Northern Europe and Latin America, excluding Mexico and Brazil.

The NBA’s new broadcasting agreements, announced earlier this year, include partnerships with ABC/ESPN, NBC, and Amazon Prime Video. These contracts will last until the 2035–36 season and mark the end of TNT’s nearly 36-year run as a primary NBA broadcaster in the U.S.
