The New York Knicks and guard Boo Buie have reached an agreement on a two-way contract. Buie steps into the two-way position vacated when New York converted Ariel Hukporti’s two-way deal into a standard NBA contract, opening up a slot for another developmental player.
Buie, who went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft, played four years at Northwestern. As a senior, the 6-foot-2 guard showcased his talent, averaging an impressive 19 points, 3.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.
His scoring ability and playmaking made him a standout for the Wildcats, and now he joins the Knicks with the chance to further develop his skills at the professional level.
The Knicks faced a Tuesday, November 5 deadline to fill two available standard roster spots. They plan to meet this requirement by elevating Hukporti from his two-way role to a standard contract and by signing forward Matt Ryan to a full NBA contract, finalizing their roster adjustments for the current season.
