Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young recently broke down why he stays aggressive on offense following his hot start to the 2024-25 NBA season (averaging 34.0 PPG/6.5 RPG/11.0 APG/2.5 SPG/45.0% FG/35.0% 3-PT/86.2% FT through two games).
(via atlhawksfans):
“I think that’s the main thing is I can’t stop being aggressive at any point in the game, no matter if my shot’s falling or if I’ve had a couple turnovers here and there. I’ve got to continue to stay aggressive for my teammates, because that’s what draws two people, it pulls gravity. So whenever I do make one or two shots, then they’re trapping me at half-court, and now I get to see my teammates play 4-on-3 on the backside. So no matter if I do miss a couple shots and I stay aggressive, if I hit a couple, teams are going to respect that and it opens up everything else.”
