The Detroit Pistons have exercised the 2025-26 rookie scale team option for guard Marcus Sasser, along with center Jalen Duren, guard Jaden Ivey, and wing Ausar Thompson. This represents the third-year option for Sasser and Thompson, while Duren and Ivey are entering their fourth-year options.

Marcus Sasser, an important part of the Pistons’ rotation, was a consistent contributor off the bench last season. Duren and Ivey were regular starters, while Thompson shifted between starting and bench roles.

The Pistons have not yet exercised the four-year rookie scale option for Wendell Moore Jr., who was acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves in an offseason salary-clearing trade. If the option is not picked up, Moore will become an unrestricted free agent next offseason.
