The Detroit Pistons have announced that they are waiving forward Tosan Evbuomwan from his two-way contract, opening up opportunities to adjust their roster for the upcoming season.

With this decision, the Pistons now have one available spot on their standard 15-man roster and two open two-way contract positions, giving them the flexibility to sign new talent or make other roster changes in preparation for the future.

Evbuomwan, who joined the Pistons last season, split time between Detroit and the Memphis Grizzlies, appearing in a total of 17 NBA games, including eight starts.

While with Detroit, he delivered a solid performance, averaging 7.0 points per game.

He demonstrated efficiency on the floor, shooting an impressive 50.7% from the field and showcasing his range by hitting 37.5% of his three-point attempts.

Although his stint with the Pistons was brief, Evbuomwan showed promise as a versatile forward with offensive upside.

The Pistons’ decision to waive him suggests that the team is looking to reconfigure its roster and may seek other options for filling those open spots.
