Jordan Loyd is making his way back to AS Monaco, rejoining the team he left earlier this year. The 31-year-old shooting guard departed from Maccabi Tel Aviv after just two EuroLeague appearances for the Israeli club.
Loyd’s decision to return to Monaco comes after his final performance for Maccabi, ironically against Monaco itself. In the game, Loyd contributed 16 points and 4 rebounds, though his team fell short. This marked his second game for Maccabi, following his debut, where he scored 15 points with 2 assists and 1 steal in a win against ASVEL.
Loyd initially joined Maccabi in the summer of 2024, but his time with the club was cut short. His brief spell at Maccabi saw him display his scoring ability and playmaking skills.
This move comes after Loyd’s productive season with AS Monaco in 2023-2024, where he averaged 10.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2 assists per game in 22.5 minutes of EuroLeague action. His return to the Principality brings back a player who has consistently proven his value as a scorer and distributor in Europe’s top basketball competition.
Throughout his EuroLeague career, Loyd has played 126 games, boasting solid averages of 13.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. These numbers have cemented his reputation as one of the more reliable shooting guards in Europe.
