The Hawks have announced the signing of veteran center Tony Bradley, who has spent six seasons in the NBA and brings experience and depth to Atlanta’s roster.
Throughout his career, he has appeared in 179 NBA games (18 starts) with the Utah Jazz (2017-20), Philadelphia 76ers (2020-21), Oklahoma City Thunder (2020-21), and Chicago Bulls (2021-23).
During his time in the league, Bradley has averaged 4.4 points and 4.1 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per game, primarily contributing as a reserve big man known for his rebounding and interior defense.
In the 2023/24 season, Bradley spent his time in the NBA G League with the Texas Legends, the Dallas Mavericks’ affiliate, after being signed and waived by the Mavericks during training camp.
While with the Legends, Bradley put together solid performances, averaging 14.0 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.7 blocks in 21.3 minutes over 17 games (10 starts).
His production at the G League level showcased his continued ability to be a strong inside presence on both ends of the court.
With this signing, Atlanta’s training camp roster is now full at 21 players.
Bradley’s contract is likely an Exhibit 10 deal, which would offer him the potential to earn a bonus of up to $77.5K if he is waived by the Hawks and spends at least 60 days with the College Park Skyhawks, Atlanta’s G League affiliate.
The Skyhawks recently acquired Bradley’s returning player rights from the Texas Legends, further indicating a potential pathway for him to contribute within the Hawks’ system.
Bradley’s presence in training camp gives Atlanta an additional option at center, and his experience could be valuable for a team looking to add depth to its frontcourt rotation heading into the season.
Whether he secures a spot on the Hawks’ regular-season roster or spends time developing further in the G League, Bradley’s size, rebounding, and shot-blocking make him an intriguing piece for Atlanta’s long-term plans.
