Georgia businessman Calvin Darden Jr. was found guilty on Friday of multiple charges, including fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, and two separate conspiracy counts.

This conviction stems from his involvement in defrauding former NBA players Dwight Howard and Chandler Parsons out of a staggering combined total of $8 million in 2021.

The scheme reportedly involved deceptive practices that misled both players about investments and financial opportunities.

Prosecutors presented evidence showing that Darden exploited the trust of Howard and Parsons, who were seeking to secure their financial futures after their basketball careers.
