Houston Rockets center Steven Adams is making a strong return after missing the entire 2023-24 season due to knee surgery.
According to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, Adams has been participating in full-contact workouts and scrimmages.
A source familiar with the workouts reported that Adams looked “outstanding” during last week’s games.
Adams missed last season after undergoing surgery on his PCL, which had not responded to non-operative rehabilitation.
His return to full activity marks a significant milestone in his recovery process.
Adams was traded to the Rockets on February 1, 2024, in exchange for Victor Oladipo and three future second-round picks.
Despite being sidelined for the entire 2023-24 campaign, the veteran center appears to be in top form ahead of the upcoming season.
During the 2022-23 season, Adams averaged 8.6 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.
