NBA champion and current analyst Brian Scalabrine has expressed confidence in the New York Knicks following their recent acquisition of Mikal Bridges.

Speaking to Brian “Scoop B” Robinson on Scoop B Radio, Scalabrine discussed whether the addition of Bridges should concern the Boston Celtics.

The former Celtics player stated, “I mean you gotta prepare for that,” when asked if the defending champions should be worried.

Scalabrine emphasized that the Knicks didn’t give up much in their deal to bring Bridges to New York.

He added, “When healthy and adding Bridges? They’re legitimate.”

Scalabrine praised the Knicks’ overall strength, calling them “a big time team, a big time defensive team” since acquiring OG Anunoby in a previous trade.

He pointed out that Anunoby’s advanced analytics are impressive and have bolstered the Knicks’ defensive potential.

Although Scalabrine noted that NBA teams never admit to being scared of other teams, he believes the Knicks are a serious contender.

“You have to keep an eye out on the Knicks. I think they’re legit,” he concluded.

Bridges, known for his two-way play, adds a new dimension to New York’s already tough defense.

While Boston remains a top team, the Knicks’ aggressive trades have made them a legitimate challenger.

As the new NBA season approaches, many analysts will be watching how the Knicks perform with Bridges on board.
